Teacher of Nāda Yoga – the yoga of sound: SUDHANSHU SHARMA

Real Music happens when the soul sings and the soul listens Sudhanshu sings to engage his own mind and soul, not to entertain people because he strongly believes that entertaining means titillating the ears of listeners for momentary pleasure rather than taking them along on a journey into the heart and soul of music.

A Gold Medalist in Post-Graduation in Music from University of Delhi, Sudhanshu was initiated into  music by Guru Shri Lakheshwar Choudhary from Assam. Later on he moved to New Delhi to train under Pandit Baldev Raj Verma, the prime disciple of Pandit Amarnath and one of the torch-bearers of the Indore Style of singing popularized by the legendary Ustad Amir Khan Saheb. An approved Artist of the All India Radio, New Delhi, Sudhanshu is in the formative phase of his career as a performer of Hindustani Classical Vocal and also as an acclaimed teacher of Nāda Yoga – the yoga of sound.

He has to his credit, many performances, retreats, workshops and lecture-demonstrations on Indian Classical Music and Sacred Sound all across the country and abroad. He has extensively toured the Middle East, Europe, Australia and Bali(Indonesia) and has upcoming invitations to perform in the USA and Japan.

A recipient of the prestigious Tushar Pandit Memorial Gold Medal and Smt. V. Bani Bai Ram Memorial Medal in Music, he is an internationally respected Teacher/Mentor as well with students all across the globe.

He strongly believes that Art should have a bigger purpose of bringing hearts together and fostering better human relationships full of Peace and Love – both external and internal.

SUDHANSHU SHARMA'S WORKSHOP

Your Voice surely does have the power to heal you and help discover a ‘new You’ hidden under the layers of mind clutters and hesitations. You will learn to discover and explore your chanting voice and its possibilities under a nurturing and supportive guidance. A four-stringed Indian drone instrument, called the Tanpura, will provide you the backdrop to paint your picture of the sound vibrations coming through you.

You will experience the deep healing vibrations of Nāda Yoga – the Yoga of sound in which we meditate and contemplate on single vowel sounds to create magic in our voice and our hearts. The cosmic sounds of Indian Music – Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha & Ni will also be a subject of our study and experience together as we activate these sounds through us and get to align our sonic practices with our spiritual journey.

We work on the vocal movements of Indian Music used for warming up and training the muscles in creating fluidity in your voice. You will learn an Indian Mantra/Kīrtan and chant your heart out for a rich vibrational and healing experience.

Through this, you will be experiencing the rich and therapeutic sounds of Indian Classical Music through a small live performance given by the master musician Sudhanshu Sharma – and that too, LIVE !

Come, let the Divine sing through you!

THE IMMENSE BENEFITS OF THE WORKSHOP:

  • Supplement your Yoga practices with the Ancient Indian metaphysical system of Nāda Yoga –The Yoga of Sound
  • Channelize your breath the right way, thus helping you cope with stress and anxiety
  • Blissfully blend the therapeutic sounds inherent in Indian Classical music into your day-to-day lives
  • Be technically sound and soulfully connected with the musical notes
  • Know and learn about Rāga – the essence of Indian Classical Music
  • Learn a Rāga, a Mantra or Kīrtan
  • Find the balance between mind, body and soul through Yoga and Meditation practices
  • Discover and re-discover your voice and ‘yourself’

Yoga-Nidra

Integral Yoga: Hatha Yoga - Yoga Nidra - Kriya Yoga - Mantra Yoga
